DigiMart Neighborhood Market

In 2016, LSSN decided to go a step further and launched DigiMart, the first fully online digital food pantry in the country. DigiMart is the logical next step for LSSN's client-choice physical food pantry, as clients are able to access the online food ordering system from their homes, desktop kiosks at LSSN, libraries, anywhere they are with an electronic device that is connected to Internet.

Hands of Hope Community Food Pantry

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada's Hands of Hope Community Food Pantry provides an opportunity for men, women, and families in need a pre-packaged box of food items. A variety of supplemental food items like: fresh produce, baked goods, boxed, canned and frozen food items, are provided when available.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budget of needy families so they can purchase healthy food and move towards self-sufficiency.

Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) 

AMS facilitates the strategic marketing of agricultural products in domestic and international markets while ensuring fair trading practices and promoting a competitive and efficient marketplace. AMS constantly works to develop new marketing services to increase customer satisfaction.

Agricultural Research Service (ARS)

ARS is USDA's principal in-house research agency. ARS leads America towards a better future through agricultural research and information.

Food and Nutrition Service (FNS)

FNS increases food security and reduces hunger in partnership with cooperating organizations by providing children and low-income people access to food, a healthy diet, and nutrition education in a manner that supports American agriculture and inspires public confidence.

Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS)

FSIS enhances public health and well-being by protecting the public from foodborne illness and ensuring that the nation's meat, poultry and egg products are safe, wholesome, and correctly packaged.

Supply Chain Assistance for Schools

To help schools deal with supply chain challenges brought on by the pandemic, USDA is providing up to: $1 billion in Supply Chain Assistance funds for schools to purchase food for their meal programs, $300 million for states to purchase USDA Foods to distribute to schools, and $200 million for cooperative agreements to purchase local foods for schools, focusing on historically underused producers.

FY 2022 Farm to School Grant

Each year $5 million is provided to the Department of Agriculture (USDA) to support grants, technical assistance, and other activities related to USDA's Farm to School Program. Additional funding for the Farm to School Program was made available from the FY 2018 through FY 2021 agriculture appropriations acts and, as a result, USDA expects to award approximately $12 million under this solicitation. The USDA Farm to School Grant Program is administered by the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) Office of Community Food Systems (OCFS).
