Slim engages in the community through social engagement and Thick does it through community involvement. There are multiple ways for people to get involved and we hope to highlight as many as possible to encourage people to get out in their community to help with changes locally and nationally. By engaging altogether on multiple fronts we can all make a difference in creating the society that we want.

Since 1994, our organization has grown from 12 original founding member groups to a current membership of nearly 30 organizations! We are a new and unique civic engagement nonprofit. Vote Nevada was founded by Nevadans for Nevada. Unlike many other organizations, we are stand-alone with no national affiliation.

The Nevada Housing Justice Alliance (NHJA) is a coalition of grassroot organizers and community advocates who work with Nevada tenants to develop solutions and advocate for community investments that solve the root causes of housing insecurity.

Today, the Nevada Housing Justice Alliance (NHJA) commended the Biden-Harris Administration's announcement that it intends to study the federal government's abilities to improve access to affordable housing and protect renters along with the publication of the White House Blueprint for a Renters Bill of Rights.

Legislative 101 Training

Learn more about the legislative process, how to identify and reach legislators, and what it takes to participate in a legislative hearing. Additionally, this training aims to identify and analyze key policies and policymakers, identify strategies for creating policy change, and provide participants with an opportunity to network with state and local legislators and lobbyists.

NHJA Advocacy Day

On Wednesday, March 22nd community members from across the state will gather in Carson City for the Nevada Housing Justice Alliance's (NHJA) Advocacy Day at the Nevada State Legislature. We are going to bring attention to the root causes of housing insecurity and the need for housing justice in our state.

For people in Southern Nevada, we are providing transportation from Las Vegas, leaving on March 21st, and returning to Las Vegas in the late evening on March 22nd.
